A seawater desalination plant in Tianjin had severe corrosion. Ordinary sensors rusted after six months. We gave them a 316L stainless steel corrosion-resistant load cell. The surface was electro-passivated. It passed a 1000-hour salt spray test. Now three years later, the sensor still looks like new.
